Dreaming in the Gili Islands and Lombok

The Gili Islands

When myself, my partner Rob, my sis Louisa and Esteban her boyfriend reached The first of the Gili island's there are no words to describe our faces or excitement. Literally we couldn't take our eyes of the views until the captain of the boat told us we need to move our luggage of the beach.
We finally got to see the Turquoise seas and white sands we had been so desperate to get our feet into.
It was Paradise.

What I am thankful for this month

It's not often enough I take time out of my day to thank God for what I have.
I think we are constantly surrounded by social media and looking at other peoples lives we don't take enough time out of our own life to be thankful for all the good things we have been given.

I really do try my best to be as positive as possible but sometimes, without even realising I find I can be quite harsh on myself and I'm not appreciating the beautiful things I have around me.
This happens when I'm over worked, tired, or in a lot of cases for many women it's that time of the month or I'm simply just irritated because something I want to happen isn't happening quick enough.
Iv'e always been better at writing things down rather then saying things out loud so I have decided that each month I am going to blog 5 things I am thankful for.

The first thing I am thankful for this month.

Details

I love a white T, I literally have 300 of the same ones sitting in my wardrobe all waiting to be worn, so it's a bonus for me when I actually find one that looks slightly different to the others.

My love for MAC lippies

I love a....

MAC lipsticks.... no seriously I counted them all today and I own 121 , not including the ones I probably have floating around my bags somewhere.
To be fair I worked for MAC for 6 years so I built this collection up fairly easy.
We were lucky enough to get given them every three months on training days and we had a pretty good discount so it was only right that I would treat myself to one (or 5) once a week.

My camera comes everywhere with me.

I get so many people messaging me about what camera I use, so
I thought it would be easier if I did a little blog post on this subject so I can tell you exactly which one I use, the settings I work on and where I bought it from.

Sometimes no make-up

So as much as I love wearing make-up and applying it on my gorgeous clients, sometimes I don't want to wear anything.
Lately during the week I've been letting my skin breath and using a whole load of organic skin care rather then a whole load of foundation.

Glow all year round

There is no doubt that if you love make-up as much as I do , highlighter is your favourite part of the application. I mean who doesn't love to glow all year round...
I have so many different highlighters in my make-up kit I swear I could make the whole world glow.
Ive picked a few of my favourites, these are literally my go to glows and I couldn't live without them.

Becca Opal and Champagne pop

If you like your highlighter blowy, creamy AND buttery then you will absolutely fall in love with these highlighters.
They give a beautiful soft focus feature to the skin, almost like a real life filter.
I find with this highlighter the particles are really really fine so you don't get that glittery effect like a lot of highlighters do its more of a 'this is how I naturally glow' kind of look.
Opal and Champagne pop have to be my two faves, with Opal being a goldy pearly colour which is perfect all year round and champagne pop being a peach gold colour which looks amazing especially with a tan.

Wrap up in camel....

I love this camel coat, I bought it last year from Zara and its quite fitted so you can dress it up or down.
Sometimes I wear it with a fitted tracksuit and a pair of trainers but today I've gone casual with a slight heel.

For The Love Of Lipstick

For the love of lipstick

Lets all be honest here, alot of us have been on our last pennies but we always find a way to buy that new lipstick we really feel we NEED.

You don't always need to spend loads of money on beauty products now, we are lucky enough to live in a lifetime where there are plenty of amazing colours and textures available in all your local drugstores.
I have narrowed it down to three of my favourite cheap and cheerful lipsticks that won't break the bank.
I have also added in two luxury lippies that I feel is ok to buy when you really want to treat yourself.

No.1 Barry M

If you like a variety of different colours to choose from then you will love playing at the Barry M stand.
From bright oranges and classic reds to muted pinks and natural nudes you literally have every colour you could ask for. Now heres the best part...... There only £4.99. Thats four lipsticks for under £20!
